Christmas at Sta. Barbara

Residents from Barangay Talongadian,
Iloilo were treated to an early Christmas last December 19, 2024 as the Metro Iloilo Water District (MIWD) paid a visit to the Barangay and conducted their Christmas Gift Giving, with the recipients for this year’s gift giving the residents of Brgy. Talongadian, Sta. Barbara.

It is also a warm welcome back fpr MIWD Chairperson Ms. Rebecca Maravilla who headed the gift giving, with herself and her entire family native Sta Barbaranon fpr generations. She was warmly welcomed by the residents and Barangay Officials of Brgy Talongadian, many who still remember the good works and charities her family has given Sta. Barbara over the years.

MIWD General Manager Alfredo Tayo III gave the opening remarks before spearheading the gift distribution, which included groceries, a few necessities, the MIWD corporate calendars packaged within a large plastic pail which can be used for fetching and holding water.

There was also a short intermission of games heartily participated by the community and giveaway for the kids, hosted by MIWD’s Ms Joy Menisis and Ms. Nanette Rapista. The closing remarks were done by another native Sta. Barbaranon, Division Manager and NRW OIC Engineer Ernesto Suplido.
