Metro Iloilo Water, Inc Commences Operation Starting July 1, 2019

Metro  Iloilo  Water  District  (MIWD)  signed  a  Joint  Venture  Agreement  with Metro Pacific Water Investments Corporation for the rehabilitation, replacement, upgrading, operation, maintenance, and expansion of MIWD’s existing water production and distribution network in Iloilo. This is aimed to improve the delivery of treated water to the population of Iloilo City and the seven municipalities in its franchise area and reduce the volume of non-revenue water.

In line with this development, Metro Iloilo Water, Inc., (MIW) our Joint Venture Corporation, was formed which will assume all aspects of our public utilities operations, such as the maintenance of our water supply system, application for new service connections and sanitation services, and infrastructure development of our water system, to name a few.

July 1, 2019 marked the start of operations of Metro Iloilo Water, Inc.

Furthermore, please be informed that customer concerns will now be handled directly by Metro Iloilo Water, Inc. MIWD’s role is to monitor the operations of its private partner.
