MIWD and Board Donates 480k worth PT-PCR Test Kits to Province and City of Iloilo

Though COVID-19 community lockdowns have relaxed for the Province and City of Iloilo, the fight to stem the tide of daily infections continue as incidents continue to rise and testing kits are used up as fast as they are delivered, further adding to the resources already strained due to months of economic inactivity.

The MIWD Management and its Board of Directors headed by Dr. Jessica Salas, steps up to the plate once more by donating a total of 350 real-time polymerase chain reaction (PT-PCR) test kits, amounting to PHP 486,080 to the City and Province of Iloilo.

On hand to receive the 175 PT-PCR test kits for the City of Iloilo last July 29, 2020 was City Mayor Jerry Treñas himself, with MIWD being reprsented by Finance Dept. Manager and Admin and General Services Dept. OIC Ms. Amarylis Josephine Castro and Board of Director Mr. Felix Tiu. For the Provincial Government, Provincial Administrator Atty. Suzette Mamon together with Provincial Legal Officer Atty. Dennis Ventilacion were on hand to receive the test kits, with Ms. Castro, Director Tiu and MIWD Engineering Staff Ma. Caressa Pabilona handing off the 175 PT-PCR  test kits.
