MIWD donates 2cu Static Tanks to City

February 16, 2022—Officials from Barangay Quintin Salas, representatives from Metro Iloilo Water District and no less than Iloilo City Mayor, the Honorable Jerry P. Trenas himself was present for the simple handoff ceremony of the 2 cu (cubic meter) water static tank at the USWAG Gym in Quintin Salas, Jaro, Iloilo.

MIWD OIC Gen. Manager, Ms. Amarylis Josephine C. Castro was present to personally oversee the initial delivery of the 2cu water static tank for Barangay Quintin Salas. The Honorable Mayor Jerry P. Trenas himself received the donation on behalf of Quintin Salas and the rest of the 87 recipient barangays in Iloilo City. Witnesses to the quick ceremonial hand-off were Quintin Salas Punong Brgy. Hon. Rizalina M. Delmo and Vice-Pres., Telecom Home Owners Association Mr. Douglas Jover.

The static water tank will go a long way in providing flexible utility, not only for daily use but especially during times of unexpected calamities when stocked water would prove essential to evacuation areas.

Each donated static tank can hold up to two ton or 2,000 liters of water. There will be 87 such static tanks to be donated by MIWD to recipient barangays all over Iloilo City. Just recently, the MIWD had also donated two cubic meters large static tanks to provincial LGUs within its the service areas.
