Tree Planting and Coastal Cleanup at Hinactacan and Katunggan

In celebration of International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove  (July 26, 2023), the MIWD once more took to the mangroves and conducted both a mangrove-tree planting activity and a mangrove coastal cleanup on the same day, last July 20, 2023.

The day started with a tree planting activity at the Hinactacan Eco Park, Lapaz, with the MIWD staff and management plating close to 500 seedlings by the coast of barangay Hinactacan, Lapaz.

After the tree-planting activity late in the morning, the MIWD once again return to the Leganes Integrated Katunggaan Eco Park for a coastal cleanup activity. This would be the third time the MIWD visited the LIKE this year, with the first visit being a mangrove tree planting last February and a joint coastal cleanup with MPIW/MIB last March for World Water Day 2023.
