MIWD Donates 1M to Provincial Gov for Covid19 Relief

August 16, 2021—The Metro Iloilo Water District, in solidarity with the Provincial Government of Iloilo, donated 1 Million Pesos worth of cash donation to the Office of the Provincial Governor to help in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Officially receiving for the Iloilo Provincial Government was the Provincial  Governor himself, the esteemed Arthur “Toto” Defensor Jr. With him were Provincial Administrator Atty. Suzette A. Mamon,  Provincial Legal Counsel Atty. Dennis T. Ventilacion, and Supervising Admin Officer Mr. Juanito Acanto Jr—who is also the son of one of MIWD’s long standing Board of Directors, Atty. Juanito Acanto, Sr.

Representing MIWD were the Water District’s Board of Directors, namely Chairperson Rebecca L. Maravilla, Vice Chairperson Dr. Ronald Raymond Sebastian, Mr. Felix Tiu, Ms. Jeanette T. Lloyd, and BOD Corporate Secretary Atty. Aloysius Dela Cruz.

OIC – General Manager Amarylis Josephine C. Castro,  was also present, and alongside turn-over emcee and MIWD PIO Rizandro Napone, personally presented the physical cheque to Governor Defensor.

Alongside the Board via virtuyal Zoom teleconferencing and standing in as witnesses for the Water District were MIWD management Janalle Legayada-Manejero – OIC, Admin & Finance Dept., Atty Ellyn Joy Tabocolde-Fernandez, Office Of The BOD, Engr. Ernesto Suplido, OIC Water Distribution & NRW Management Division, and Atty Erwin A. Somes, Supervising ICU.
