MIWD joins John B for Eco Camp
(May 10, 2023) MIWD joins the John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University as one their guest lecturers for their 5-day Eco-Adventure Camp, participated by student leaders from all over Panay and Negros.
The camp is aimed at creating awareness and educating campers about the hazard of climate change and the importance of climate resilience and zero waste lifestyle as well as expose campers to activities that benefit ecological sustainability and preservation.
The MIWD members delivered a lecture and Q&A quizzes on the importance of the Watershed to the ecosystem as well as a short history of the MIWD in relation to the history of the Maasin Watershed. The lecture is also part of ,MIWD’s environmental advocacy in relation to the Philippine National Month of the Ocean.
