MIWD/MIB/MIW Continues to Assist City Gov with Donations for COVID-19 Relief Efforts
April 20, 2020—In keeping with its mandate to serve the public and to continually assist the City of Iloilo in however way it can in these trying times, The Metro Iloilo Water District in unison with its two JV companies from Metro Pacific Investments Corporation—Metro Iloilo Bulk Water Supply Corporation (MIB) and the Metro Iloilo Water (MIW)—donates P300,000 pesos to the Iloilo City Government as additional assistance in its COVID-19 relief efforts. Present to accept the cheque were Iloilo City Mayor Hon. Jerry Treñas, with Ms. Amarylis Josephine Castro for the Metro Iloilo Water District, Mr. John Canonero for Metro Iloilo Water and Mr. Al Orbista for Metro Iloilo Bulk Water Supply Corporation.
Last month, the three water utility companies donated around P1.2 million pesos worth of medical supplies and relief goods to Iloilo City and the seven municipalities in the Province of Iloilo, with the three companies once again coming together to donate P517,000 worth of COVID-19 testing kits to the City Government just last week.
