Provincial Arbor Day: Tree Growing for the Future

The Metro Iloilo Water District once again joins up with fellow government agencies, Provincial LGUs, various environmental initiatives, the academic community and various private institutions in a Tree Growing Activity last June 28, 2025.

Initiated by the Iloilo Provincial Government, through the Provincial Govemment Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO), the Tree Growing Activity was held at Barangay Pangilihan, Januay, Iloilo, on June 28, 2025.

June 28, 2025 also marked as the Philippine Arbor Day, with the month of June having been declared as the Philippine Environmental Month, through Republic Act No. 10176 and Proclamation No. 237, respectively.
