Re: Proposed AI Data Center in Oton

Metro Iloilo Water District (MIWD) clarifies its position on the proposed AI Data Center being proposed to be built in Oton, Iloilo.

According to independent news sites, the proponent representative, Mr. Daniel Robertson, has claimed to have made a “memorandum of agreement with Metro Iloilo Water District”.

We would like to state that there is none.

Mr. Robertson, or the companies he represent, have not approached MIWD, nor have they sent any correspondences of any kind to MIWD.

Hence, MIWD urges all its concessionaires to be wary of unverified statements from parties that may circulate online, through unregulated social media platforms.
