Water Warriors Unite!

Metro Iloilo Water District once again joins the whole world in the global celebration of World Water Day in a CommuniTree Planting and River Walk activity at the Maasin Watershed, with logistics provided by its JV Partner companies, the Metro Iloilo Bulk Water Corporation and the Metro Pacific Iloilo Water.

Various stakeholders and LGUs were also in attendance, which includes the Philippine National Police, DENR-SUSIMO-Maasin Robinsons Mall-Pavia PGENRO VI.

It was a rarity for all the stakeholders to come together on the 22nd of March—which happens to be the exact day when the World Water Day is celebrated every year. This year, the WWD theme: Accelerating Change…Be The Change You Want To See In The World, hitting home the importance of doing what we can at the local level, and that no act, no matter how small, will always make a big impact if we all move together, as one.
